Abstract:
Spiral bound architectural feasibility studies made by O'Connor & Kilham, Architects of New York. Providing one study each year from 1967 to 1969, the architects responded to NLM's desire to expand physical facilities to accommodate increased areas of responsibility. New responsibilities included establishing a National Center for Biomedical Communications, as well as, the expansion of existing library and audiovisual stacks. The three volumes include architectural sketches, graphs, summaries, memos and agreements. These were the preliminary studies for the Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications commissioned under contract by the federal government.
