Michael J. Pescor, a medical officer at the Lexington Narcotic Farm, conducted a study of 1036 Lexington patient records for the year 1936-37, generating a statistical picture of their demographic, clinical, and sociological characteristics. (He used some of this data for a 1939 article examining the Kolb classification of addicts.)
