(1) Attitudes about and access to COVID-19 vaccines influence vaccination behavior. (2) Prior to COVID-19 vaccine rollout, more than half of adults ages 50 and older who indicated being unlikely to get a COVID-19 vaccine reported concerns about the vaccine's safety or efficacy. (3) Among this group, Black and Hispanic respondents were more likely than White respondents to identify such concerns. (4) Despite strong early vaccination rates among older adults, access barriers, such as vaccination sites not matching older adults' preferred vaccination settings, could limit uptake of COVID-19 vaccination if not addressed.
