In this 1976 program, produced by WRAMC-TV, Dr. Leonard E. Swischuk gives a presentation on methods of detection to assess what is normal or abnormal in the upper cervical spine of a child. The spine of a child is different from that of an adult, and each child has a unique anatomical makeup. Certain variations in vertebrae may be normal in one child and indicate potential dislocation in another. Several x-ray images are used to demonstrate these differences.
