Abstract:
(Critical) This program describes the technique of proctosigmoidoscopy, the instruments available, their assembly and use. The procedure is presented in a well-organized, technically competent format. The discussion is somewhat superficial; anatomical details and interpretation of findings are not included. The accompanying manual presents indications, contraindications, common errors, suggestions, and four well-written patient care decisional problems. The program is recommended for use.
