Abstract:
(Critical) This program presents basic introductory information on methods, interpretation, and clinical applications of immunofluroescence in dermatology. Particular emphasis is placed on anti-nuclear factors, collagen vascular diseases, and bullous skin diseases. Significant items which are omitted from the discussion include complement deposits, mixed connective tissue disease, and Herpes gestations. Terminology used exclusively by the author, not generally accepted by authorities in the field, somewhat limits the material's application and clarity. The technical quality of the diagrams, photomicrographs, and audio is outstanding. This program offers a clear explanation of basic techniques and is recommended for use.
