This program advocates for a more analytical and deep-thinking approach to solving the obesity problem. Diagnosis of obesity involves detailed data-gathering, which includes lab tests as well as personal and family history. The rest of the video consists of a meandering interview with a patient, in which it is revealed that the patient has various dietary, social, and emotional problems. The program suggests that the patient’s unemployment, sedentary lifestyle, alcoholic intake, and depression have all contributed to his growing obesity problem. The video then leaves it to the viewer to decide what his management plan should be.
