Abstract:
(Critical) This program presents the treatment of degenerative changes in the carpal metacarpal joint of the thumb, including identification of the source of the pain as a recurrent synovitis in that joint. The appropriate clinical tests and x-rays are clearly outlined and indications for surgery are given. The surgical treatment of this problem is also shown. The presentation is current and the surgical treatment is clearly depicted. Thus, this program is highly recommended for surgeons, orthopedic surgeons and plastic surgeons.
