The dining room at 13 Norham Gardens, the Oslers' home in Oxford from 1907 to their deaths. The Oslers entertained so often here, and housed visitors so frequently, that the house became known among friends as "The Open Arms".. This picture was one of a series taken by John Farquhar Fulton, a doctor and bibliophile, before Osler's book collection was removed to McGill University. (Osler bequeathed his library to McGill on his death in 1919; the Osler Library opened there in 1929.). [Description courtesy of McGill University.]
