Evaluation of the Teen Outreach Program in the Pacific Northwest: findings from the replication of an evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention program : final impact report for the Northwest Coalition for Adolescent Health
The project was implemented in different kinds of settings, with a wide variety of youth (age, ethnicity, gender, language/cultural background, urban and rural). The implementation had a large sample size that allowed for a robust evaluation strategy. This was a large-scale replication of an evidence-based program, TOPĀ®. This program consists of a long-term approach (nine months), high dosage for participants (25 sessions with 20 hours of service learning), a comprehensive curriculum, youth-generated discussion and dialogue, and the development of ongoing relationships with trusted adults. This report describes the implementation and impact of this program including the cluster randomized controlled trial, the implementation process and findings, and the impact study and findings.
