In this speech, given at the Rose Dinner in Washington, DC, on the occasion of the eleventh anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Roe v. Wade legalizing abortion, Koop recounted his own prominent involvement in the pro-life movement, which was driven by his Christian evangelical faith and by his growing concern that acceptance of abortion would lead to acceptance of infanticide as well.
