Werner Arber won the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1978. Shortly after the announcement of the Nobel Prize in Medicine being awarded to Arber, he and his ten year old daughter, Silvia, discussed this idea for a simple explanation of his work that led up to his being awarded the prize. The author mailed copies of it to the people who sent him congratulations.
