This report focuses on comparative state data, because much of the policymaking and innovation in long-term care is governed by the states. Given the growing older population, the rising demand for long-term care and the increasing cost of services, consistent data across all the states are critical in order to understand how to improve the lives of those with long-term care needs, their family caregivers, and others around them. In this overview we present 10 key findings from the state and national data, a small sampling of the data presented in this volume.
