The delivery of condoms and oral contraceptives through a social marketing or commercial retail sales program is demonstrated using projects in Jamaica, El Salvador, and Bangladesh as examples. In all three of these countries, product marketing campaigns have made use of indigenous research, product symbols and slogans, advertising, education, and the selection and development of new and traditional outlets to increase contraceptive availability and use.
