By virtue of the authority given in Chapter 26 of the General Statutes, the 
Board of Health of the City of Boston hereby forbids the exercise, on or after 
November 30, 1875, of the trade or employment of 
within the limits of the City of Boston, except on the Islands in the harbor, at the 
Abattoir in the Brighton district, or at such other place or places as may hereafter 
be assigned by said Board ; such trade or employment being in the opinion of the 
Board a nuisance, hurtful to the inhabitants, the exercise of which is attended 
by noisome and injurious odors.
