Thanks very much for your letter of
March 12th concerning the hearings of my
Committee on Juvenile Delinquency. I am most
appreciative of your taking the time to write
to me and I was pleased to have your recommenda-
tions concerning methods of making progress in
the field of prevention. I heartily agree with
the two courses of action you recommend and also
with your comment regarding the urgent need for
action rather than discussion.

I hope that some good will come out
of the results of these hearings and if you wish
me to do so I'll be glad to furnish you with a
transcript.
