I. -By direction of the President, Captain S. M. Preston, Assistant 
Adjutant General U. S. Volunteers, is dismissed from the service of 
the United States, for having offered to discharge a soldier and collect 
his pay for a per centage on the amount. 
II. -So much of “General Orders,” No. 125, as dismisses Captain 
John J. Sperry, 106th Pennsylvania Volunteers, is, by direction of the 
President, revoked.
