Kellogg, 18th Infantry, having tendered his resignation while under charges for “ drunkenness on duty,” “disobe- dience of orders,” and “conduct prejudicial to good order and mili- tary discipline,” is, by direction of the President of the United States, hereby dismissed the service, to take effect August 11, 1862.
