February 19, 1964 Dear Dr. Kantrowitz: We have been in touch with Mr. Kennedy of the AVCO Company and he assured us that he would send us a stimulator within two or three weeks. Dr. Stenberg has told me that you were probably going to insert a stimulator in one of your patients, and if you have not done so, it might be possible for us to send him back to see you carry out this procedure before we attempt to do our first one here in Richmond. In the meantime, it would be greatly appreciated if you could have one of your residents or fellows to send me a detailed description of your operative technique. I am in the process of revising the chapter on neurogenic bladder dysfunction in "Dodson's Urological Surgery" and I would like to add to this chapter the electrical stimulation of the bladder. You would most certainly be given recognition and credit for this in my write up. Very sincerely, R.C. Bunts, M.D. Chief, Urology Clin. Prof. Urol. MCV
