Oct 19, 1979 Dear Dr Swan, Once again our anniversary has rolled around, but this is a big one. It is 25 years today since my surgery. Sometimes it seems like it was only a couple of years ago, but then, I think of all the wonderful living and the full life that is crammed into the years and it seems like far more than 25 years. For the first time I can't say that I doing fine and have no problems. Last spring I started having some hypertension. I was put on Dyozide and my B.P. was pretty well controlled. I really had no problems until Aug 30th when I experienced some chest pain and nausea, which I didn't associate with my heart. It felt like my clothes were too tight and I definitely have put on weight through the years. I feel fine the next morning and went on to work as usual. Shortly after lunch I had the same pain only much more severe. Since I am secretary for the emergency room doctors, went to E.R. and before I knew it I was in C.C.U. Dr. Richter suggests [END PAGE ONE] [BEGIN PAGE TWO] you might be interested in what actually happened, so I ask my doctor (Dr. Stephen Peskoe) for a copy of my records which are enclosed. Dr. Richter said he would be interest in your opinion as to whether the enlarged R ventrical has any connection with what happened. I have been home resting for 7 weeks and feel pretty good once again. Monday I am starting back to work 4 hours a day. I don't have any chest pain or pressure and still get an occasional headache from the Nitrol bid[?] paste. Dr. Richter is retired now but we keep in touch, and I still rely on his adivse[sic]. He ask to be remembered to you, and was interested in hearing what you are doing these days. Also, we both would like to be remembered to Dr. Blount. Although I have been showed down recently, I feel its still a great life, and I [END PAGE TWO] [BEGIN PAGE THREE] have been blessed with a wonderful family, with 5 of the greatest grandchildren. I still travel a lot, and will be happy to get back to my job. I look forward to hearing from you and what's new in your life. First I thank the good Lord then secondly you for the past 25 years. Affectionately, Clarabell Presley
