AIDS Lecture April 12, 1989 19/13 Address By C. Everett Koop, MD, ScD Surgeon General Of the U.S. Public Health Service U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Presented to the 50th Anniversary National Conference of the American Society of Public Administration Miami, Florida April 12, 1989 It had been 2 days since I had last spoken to a public audience on the subject of the AIDS epidemic. I had previously spoken to the National Capital Area Chapter of the American Society of Public Administration in Washington D.C. on the 12th of December 1988. This address was before the 50th Anniversary National Conference of the American Society of Public Administration, and was held in Miami, Florida. Because it was to a much larger gathering of the same society to which I had spoken previously, I gave the same address, just bringing statistics up to date, and using a little different personal introduction. Because this is a repetitive speech, I will not say more here, and there will not be an index.
