This lecture was given at an annual research dinner in St. Louis, Missouri to an audience someone acquainted with, but not expert in AIDS. It was four days after I had given the last lecture on AIDS, and sixteen days after I gave the identical lecture in Philadelphia as the Pasquariello Lecture at the Children's Hospital there.
