Dear Dr. Koop:
On behalf of The National Hemophilia Foundation and all those affected by hemophilia, I want to congratulate you on the excellent Surgeon General's Report on Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).
By publishing the report, you have performed a service for all Americans.  The report gives vitally needed information in a clear, readable, understandable form. It will educate and inform, while at the same time helping to dispel ignorance and prevent discrimination.
We at The National Hemophilia Foundation appreciated having the opportunity to act as a resource during the preparation of this report. The interaction between The Foundation and Dr. Michael Samuels was very positive and, I believe, marked the beginning of a long and mutually beneficial relationship.  We look forward to working with you and Dr. Samuels on behalf of those affected by hemophilia and AIDS for many years to come.
