Dear Bob:
I enclose the updated position paper on the Artificial Heart Program of NHLI, with further documentation incorporated, as you requested. As a result of a rather careful review of the items listed in Section VII, A, of this Evaluation, it has appeared in double-checking and documenting references best simply to re-write the whole section. Other parts of the paper have been corrected here and there to bring attachment numbers, etc., into harmony.
I trust this is now in a suitable condition to be maximally helpful to you and to the Program.
Let me thank you yet again for your warm support and friendship both during my sojourn at NHLI and since my departure. I like to think perhaps I may have contributed something of value to NHLI, and certainly the whole stay was a most valuable experience for me.
