Dear Mr. Nirenberg:
The editorial in the August 11 issue of Science, adapted  from remarks you made when accepting the Research Corporation's 1966 award, points out very clearly the need for greater public understanding of recent advances in genetics.
Would you consider the possibility of writing a book that would describe these
advances and assess their probable social consequences?  If such a project appeals to you, I would be very interested in getting together with you to discuss the idea in more detail.
