Dear Dr. Nirenberg:
I am writing to let you know that the National Science Foundation has partly sponsored a joint Indo-USA meeting entitled "Neuroreceptor Plasticity and Brain Function" to be held in New Delhi, India, April 6-10, 1987.  This is an official invitation to you to be a speaker at this meeting.  Your round trip airfare (economy and by American carriers only) between your point of origin and New Delhi will be covered by the NSF.  The All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, through Dr. Sharma and the Indian government, will cover your hotel, food, and transportation expenses in New Delhi.
If you are willing to accept this invitation, please immediately send me a confirmation, together with a title for your talk (45 minutes to 1 hour).  The proceedings of this meeting will most likely be published as a monograph.  At this time, please note that all American Nationals travelling to India are required to have a valid U.S. passport, as well as a visa, from the Indian High Commission or Consulate (New York/Washington, D.C., etc.).
