As you may know, Dr. Bruce Waxman has been named Director,
Health Care Technology Program, National Center for Health
Services Research and Development, Health Services and
Mental Health Administration. Since Dr. Waxman's departure,
I have been named Acting Chief of the Special Research
Resources Branch pending selection of his successor.

The Special Research Resources program will, of course,
continue to operate under its present policies and proce-~
dures. You will be notified when a successor to Dr. Waxman
has been appointed.
