In November I hope to make a trip to the West Coast. I would like very
much to visit you some time during the first three weeks of November. At
that time I could give a talk on branched structures, a subject which
excites me very much.

Enclosed is an abstract of the subject. The talk could be a departmental
seminar with the subject confined to limited areas of your choosing. Al-
ternatively (or in addition) I could give a talk to a general scientific
audience. At the risk of being immodest I can say I have something new to
contribute on all the topics given in the abstract.
