Thank you very much for your kindness in sending me your frank
views and comments on the goals, objectives, and position of
value of our space biology long range plan.

Your thoughtful reply is being used in a revision which will be
made a part of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's
long range plan to be reviewed by the Presidential Task Force.
This will then serve as the basis for our future space biology
program in NASA.

The revised plan will also be submitted for review in depth at
a special summer study on space biology being convened by the

National Academy of Sciences, Space Science Board, at Santa Cruz,
California, this July.
