Thanks for the page references. I've had galleys on "Linear...."
but pages won't be ready for several weeks. It will be volume
41 No. 6. I will notify promptly when pages are available in the
hope they can still be tmertx inserted.

9 Oct 1953) 1025, which were distributed: 600 UW; 100 NDZ; 325 BADS.

more if you can spare (I saved a few copies for distribution to future

lab people, but have rofused a sprinkZling of requests that come in now
and then .)

You can expect about 100 requests from US, I think. Most of my ma ilLings
are on a regular exchange. There may be an augmented aufiience owing tp
the cross-reference in the two papers. (Do you think you can save about
20 copies for us here?~-reciprocally, of course——).

Yes, I know Clayton's work on phototaxis: Delbruck had a beautifully
illustrated article on it a few years ago (ca. 1952) in Scientific Ameri-
can. The description agrees with what Jennings meant by "apobatic", I
tah [Rothschild has a little discussion of chemotaxis in his new book
too ].

Did you attend or hear about a session on "aging" last week at the |
Royal Institution? There was to have been a part on aging of bacterla—
do you know anything about that? (or was it on aging of bacterial cultures).
