The reprints that you requested are being sent under separate cover. A
further develonment of the theory is now in press in the Proceedings of the
National Academy of Sciences.

I am greatly interested in your studies of the A -2alactosidase. I do not
know of any comparable studies on other metal-enzymes. ie have contemplated such
a study on leucineaminopeptidase which can utilize both Mn and Mg** but it may

be a long time before we can get to it.
