Thie és a belated answer to your note of November 18, but | haveto admit
that it was only Just forwarded by postman Beets. Let me thank you for your
good wishes; and since just possibly you don't know me well enough to be
sure how | might react to unwittingly eavesdropping on your mall to Beets
let me say that | could also heartily share those sentiments too.

We are just geeting Into the busy season of packing now -- we did decide to
take advantage of the happy circumstance of meeting at Palo Alto to move for
good at the same occasion. Kay seems to have made all necessary arrangements
for the meeting, so | hope you didn't haveany needless bother. See you in
about 3 weeks then, and § hope more than once [n a whileafterwards. | hardly
have to tell you how much we are looking forward to getting settled in such
an attractive and stimulating environment.

Have you ever thought of going after the Burdo problem yourself? ! should
think there could be more explicit genetic tests for, experimentally produced
somatic heterozygosity. Time enough to talk about , ete-a-tete.
