June 27, 1953 Dr. T. T, Puck Department of Medicine University of Colorado Denver 7, Colorado Dear Ted: Thank you for your letter of the 23d. The possibility of a visit next summer sounds very attractive. I do not have any courses in the Spring session, so there is not likely to be any conflict with a June date. Our plans for next sumer are completely open right now. If, prior to definite settlement of this arrangement, anything should come up that might conflict with it, I will of course let you know right away. In turn, I would appreciate word from you of the customary dates and any other obviously material details of your summer appointments. I will be very happy to see your promised ms., though I doubt if I can make any expert comment on it. Yours sincerely, Joshua Lederberg _ P.S. Though the sentiment indicated is gratifying, I am sorry that my absence from the CSH symposium was noticed. I hope it did not excite unwarranted speculation. Mostly, I was just weary enough that the energy cost seemed to high in proportion to the value, though I'm sorry to have missed the opportunity to see old friends. (Even for this, I can suggest more propitious surroundings than the symposium would have offered. J.L.
