Dear Dr. Plough:

Mx, Zinder and I thought you might be interested to have some new of
our work with SalioneRka transduction. The enclosed may be regarded as a
pre-publication abstract. There 1s nothing new to add, except that the FA
may possibig be attuched to the phage particles themselves. We have not
been abuc tc find any evidence for a "sexual" recombination system like
that of E~l2 HE. coli,
