I'm enciosing a copy of a letter from Harry Eagle with regard to Hertzenbergs.

t'm rather puzzled by the seeming discrepency between this report and the one

you quoted from Mel. If it were possibile for Hel to be a little bit more
explicit the situation might be clarified. What would you and or Mel think about
taking him on on @ strictly probationary basis? At least nis skilis wouid seem
to be quite useful for the development of the prograin in the erea of our mutual
interest.

The business office sent up the check for travel expense. Thank you very
