My dear Josh,

Bob Pritchard and I will be going to this genetics symposium
at Austin, Texas, from the 4th to the 6th of May, and have managed to get
some additional funds so as to pay a visit to the West Coast.

If it is possible, and not inconvenient for you, we should very
much like to see you and Bruce Stocker again, as well as other people like
Perkins, Our intention was to arrive at San Francisco on the evening of
Sunday, May 7th, and to spend a few days before going on to Cal.Tech. on
Thursday the 1%th. We should like to spend most time with you, but perhaps
we could also go to Berkeley on Wednesday the 10th. Please be quite frank
about this, and just let me know if it will be possible from your point of
view. .

If it is, perhaps you would be so kind as to book accommodation
for us somewhere. - We will have a maintenance allowance, and are fully
in a position to pay our keep, and do not want to put you or Esther to
any unnecessary inconvenience.
