Kappa Pi Chapter of Phi Delta Eysilon at the School
of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania annually
sponsors the Bernard I, Comroe Memorial Lectureship at
which time prominent men in the field of medicine and
related sciences ere invited to speak. “Ye would be honored
if you would present this year's lecture,

Phi D E is a national professional fraternity with
chapters in medical sthools throughout the United States.
Bernard Comroe was an inspiring teacher, chief of the
Arthritis Clinic at the Hospital of the University of

Pennsylvania, and author of a

classic text on Arthritis,

He was also a Phi D E alumnus, and, after his premature

death in 1945, it was decided
in his memory.

to name the annual lecture

This is an open lecture to which all interested are
invited to attend; this includes the entire student body
and faculty of the school of medicine, staff of the Univer-
Sity Hospital, and local professional men. The Aaron Brovm
Education Foundation, established as a memorial to the
founder of Phi D E, makes possible an honorarium of 375.
to the lecturer in addition to the sum of 550, for travel

expenses,

This year's lecture is to be held on friday, ‘arch 20,

1959, at 4:15 P.M. in the Auditorium of the ‘iversity
Hospital, (Followingthe lecture there will be a dinner in

your honor.) However, if you

had planned on being in

Philadelphia at another time to visit your parents, we
would be happy to reschedule the lecture on a date which
would be more convenient for you.
