Dear Joshua:

The organism WH-8-Sm unfortunately does not yield
its DNA readily in my hands. I've had no success
extracting anything with the phenol method which will
transform, but there doesn't seem to be much 260 material
extracted either. I'11 give it one more trial using

a method which ruptures the cells and then extract with
the Sevag procedure.
