AQ hief, Division of Plant Industry,
CSIRO, Austrs passed through London recently en route to

the Continent. T am sending you this note on his behalf
conveying his personal greetings and to say that he would like
to visit you and colleagues at Madison for the period Thursday
August 14 to londay August 18 inclusive. He will be attending
the meeting of the American Society of Agronomy at Purdue
earlier that month.

He asked me to write to Dr. Brink also (which I have
done) and request that he kindly confer with you and arrange
a programme for Dr. Frankel for his five days in Madison, He
will be accompanied by his wife.

Dr. Frankel would like to see workers in genetics,
agronomy and botany, including Dr. Skkxoog and a young colleague
John Zwar, who is working under him.

Dr, and Mrs. Frankel will be trevelling to Lontreal by
air on Tucsday August 19 for the International Congress of
