Dear Joshua,

This is merely a P.S. to my last letter which will put
you in the picture regarding Bob Wright. I have just
spoken to Syd and he told me that on receipt of Wright's
cable he went out and got the grant from the University
and also, after a further struggle, a grant to build a
laboratory room for him. He is therefore committeed and
would find it very awkward if Wright were now not to come
to him. With this one must agree and I must consider
the Wright episode closed as far as we are concerned.

_ iT must say that my feelings regarding Syd's proceedings |
in the matter have not been greatly softened by this
- latest piece of information and I am glad to let the
“matter rest. mE

Should you ever hear of. an alternative, please let me
know, especially since we have heard from people who
- know Elliott, whom I mentioned in my last letter, that
_ he would not be ‘the pleasantest of colleagues to have.
