10. I. 1965. Dear Joshua, I shall be passing through San Francisco towards the middle of February, and wonder whether you could spare some time to listen to my woes and discuss some problems concerning the production of antibodies. We have a good deal of new evidence, mainly on heterologous stimulation, and while the secondary response has all the marks of a selective mechanism, the primary has not. I can interpret it only by a very unorthodox model, and this is what you are supposed to knock to pieces. Looking forward to seeing you again, with best wishes to both of you, Stephen Fazekas.
