Dear Josh:

We have assistantship applications from four prospectively
good algae students but only one good "non-algal” applicant.
We would like some more applicants whose interests are in non-
algal botanical areas. We feel we can offer excellent graduate
training in physiology, morphology-anat omy, pathology and in
flowering plant taxonomy in addition to the cryptogamic area.
Don't you have a good stident to recommend?
