Dear Professor Lederberg:
Coming back to our discussion in San Fransisco and our
» earlier correspondence I wonder whether it would suit you if I
came to Stanford for a period of one week some time in the middle
of February, for instance February 13-18. In such case I could
combine the trip with a Washington-visit in the latter part of
February.

We have just started measurements on bacteria and I
have secured the means for a man to work half time on that
project from a research council here. I think it would be better
if we had the discussion we spoke about last summer now, when
the measurements are beginning rather than later on and this
is the reason for this letter. If the time should not suit you please
do not hesitate to say so.
