If you or Esther have a gal-, nonlysogenic K12 [ . . . ] which does not revert to gal+ and is transducible by [lambda], I would very much appreciate having one.  I have been investigating the effect of multiplicity on frequency of transduction by HFT lysates; for some reason, under my conditions the curve is far from linear.  However, the strain (112) which I have been using gives many spontaneous reversions on the plate, which sometimes confuses things.
