Dear Doctor Lederberg:

I have been in touch with Dr. Crow relative to the problem
of a follow-up of the second generation offspring of survivors of the
A-bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In the course of this, he told me
of two informal letters from you touching the program of ABCC.

I am therefore writing to you to tell you how glad we were
to learn of your visit to ABCC and how much we would welcome your
thoughts and suggestions if you have not already sent these to the
Director of ABCC, Dr. Darling.

We are planning a review of the major components of the pro-
gram in the fall in anticipation of a full-dress conference with Dr.
Darling and our Advisory Committee in November.
