Dear Professor Lederberg,
I am just writing to let you know when I will be arriving at Stanford University.  I am flying from New York on Monday August 7th by flight AA17 due to arrive at San Francisco about 2:30 pm.
We are now just half way through the phage course.  So far it has been very interesting and we seem to be covering a fairly comprehensive range of techniques. There has also been a very good series of seminars associated with the course.
I am very much looking forward to my stay in Palo Alto and to seeing you and [...] Lederberg in a fortnight time,
