Alan and I plan to arrive in Madison on February 13, by Northwestern RR, at 9:38 PM.  I can give the seminar on Thursday and on Friday we can all go down to [ . . . ] together.
There is a rumor that a big-shot midwestern geneticist, from a state beginning with W, has taken a job at Berkeley.  If you know who this is, would you please congratulate him for me?
