Most of the virus reprints are gone but I enclose what I have that seems at all relevant.  The Handbuch article reviews things pretty well up to 1956.
Certainly the fundamental principles controlling design and data processing ought to be the same in the two fields.  We have never described our gadgetry in detail in print but I think the similarities with what you what to do will be more general than particular.

P.S.  "Small Angle Scattering of X-Rays" by A Guinier-Waley 1955 has most of the basic theory, instrumentation and applications for the X-ray case
