The utility of American Men of Sclence as a source of social
statistics on sclentists hardly requires any comment. | wonder

if it would be too much of an imposition to ask whether you have
maintained any kind of bibllography on publications that have
cited the American Men of Science as a source of collective Infor-
mation about Amertcan sclentists, and If so, whether you would be
willing to furnish me with a copy of such a list. In the event
that this Is too formidable to ask as a casual favor, 1 might
Indicate that my special Interest has to do with the birth statis~
tics of scientists, but | would be happy to receive any leads to
more general applications of your volumes.
