Dear Sonneborn:

For your information, the following is a copy of a cablegram I
received from Dr. Chen this morning:

"Already accepted teaching position Minnesota State Teachers
College. Sailing July 15. Greatly interested cytology of bacteria,
Would be happy to get appointment research associate in your depart-
ment, two thousand a year, and do research in Minnesota."

Since he has already accepted a position in Mirmesota: I do not
think that we can do anything for him at present.
